Regarding you hike down the Manzana, it looks like you were at Horseshoe Bend. I am a Wilderness Ranger in the Santa Lucia Ranger District, LPNF and whenever we publish an updated recreation map, we intend to put it on it. For many years it has been a secret camp known to a relatively few as it it is off the trail. I don't know how the iron stoves got there. No one else does either.
