Zooming In: Two ways to zoom:

  1. Right-click (ctrl+click Mac) to use the built-in Flash menu zooming tool. The cursor will become a "hand", allowing you to grab and pan the map around.
  2. Draw a rectangle on the map to zoom in. If that wasn't enough zooming, use the Flash zooming tool to zoom in a little more, or zoom out and try again. You can grab and pan after zooming.

Zooming out: When the magnifying glass has a "-" sign, click to zoom out. If you used the built-in Flash zooming tool, you will have to zoom out with it to zoom out all the way.

Searching: Click the magnifying glass to bring up the search box. All the trails are listed in the scrolling list. You can type the name of the trail in the text box to winnow the list down to possible matches. If you reach the end of the list without getting a match, then there are no matches to the trail name you have typed in.

Click Submit to draw a red rectangle around the selected trail on the map. Close the search box, then zoom in to see the trail better.

The reset button will reset the scrolling list.

Trail reports: Find the trail you are interested in. Click to read and add a report. To read all the reports, there is a link in the menu.

NOTE: The map has been simplified for online use. For example, there are no contour lines or contour shading. Buy a complete map from the map-maker himself, who logged over 400 miles hiking these trails to make this map. Go to http://www.bryanconant.com.
